MATERIALS
Makes ~4 servings
2 cup oats
1.5 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup maple syrup
1.5 cups water or plant-based milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
Toppings
Fresh Fruit
Nut Butter
Maple Syrup (or Date Syrup)
PROCEDURE
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and mix well.
3. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan and spread oats evenly in the pan.
4. Bake for ~25 minutes or until lightly browned on top and the liquid is absorbed into the oats.
VARIATIONS
This recipe is very forgiving. Feel free to add in any of your favorite fruit, nuts, or seeds. The applesauce can be replaced with mashed banana.
Double the recipe and bake in a 9x13 pan.
